THE SLEAZE BRIGADE

TOM BRUHN (BRUHN AUCTION GALLERY) A THIEF? A LIAR? YOU DECIDE!

UPDATE: After we posted this original story, Bruhn’s Auction Gallery went out of business in late 2019, leaving other people who are also owed money.

Our first inkling of trouble was when Dot called us because her expensive sculpture went missing after consiggning it to Bruhn’s, formerly located at 50 West Arizona Avenue in Denver.

The agreement stated owner Tom Bruhn would sell it and take a 20% consignment fee. That was back in February of 2018.

Dot called a month later and Bruhn said he hadn’t sold it yet! Mmmmmm, that is very curious, since Bruhn stated online that the sculpture had been sold in February for $1,100!  (BTW, we’re not even sure if that price is right since Dot had previous appraisals as high as $20,000).

SO, WAS TOM BRUHN LYING TO DOT OR DID HE STEAL FROM HER? OR IS IT ALL A TERRIBLE MISUNDERSTANDING?

I wish we knew, but Bruhn refused to talk about it. He would not talk about it on my Radio Show, nor will he talk to Dot, nor would he talk to Major Marc Mager when confronted at Bruhn’s Auction Gallery.

Always be cautious when consigning property to be sold. Make sure you check on items often, and remove them at the first sign of poor communication.
